Some of the Dangers and Errors of Modern Charismatic Teaching

One of the purposes of this blog  (#5 HERE) is to point out and correct some of the abuses in the charismatic world.

So, here are two videos that document some of the major aberrant and heretical teachings of some modern Charismatic and/or Word of Faith teachers. Being a Calvinist (and Charismatic), I agree with much of the corrections these videos provide. But being a Charismatic (and Calvinist), I also think they sometimes go too far. For example, my theology of healing might be branded heretical by the authors of this video because my view is a synthesis of 1. common Calvinistic models of healing and and a common Charismatic/Pentecostal model of healing (which is one model among many in Charismatic circles). I won't go into the details at the moment on my views. But here's a link to a summary of my views on healing HERE. If you're going to watch or listen to only one of these materials, then I suggest you listen to Rob Bowman's lecture on the Word of Faith Movement (which is the 3rd link below).

Note Bene: Not all Pentecostals, Charismatics, Third Wavers hold to Word of Faith Movement theology and teaching. Many specifically reject and deny its distinctive theology.

Here's a link to access lectures by Rob Bowman on
"Frequently Asked Questions About The Word of Faith Movement"
and, "The Gospel According to Joel Osteen"

I think Bowman's lecture on the Word of Faith Movement is more accurate and balanced than the above two videos. Especially in it's understanding of the origins of the Word of Faith Movement.
